Super Bowl Sunday
A special day on the sports calendar whether you're a fan of NFL Football or not, watched globally by a TV audience of 127.7 million viewers this year.
Having previous watched 20+ Super Bowls from my living room in England, even with that painful time difference, which lead to a few tired Monday mornings over the years I can tell you! It is still a great excuse to have a party, invite a few friends, share a few drinks, and most probably eat the worst / most delicious snacks of the year.
My drink of choice tends to be a punch for such an occasion. Easy to prepare in advance, fruity but balanced, and a real crowd pleaser.
Here is a good recipe to get you started:
Puerta Rican Punch
Prepare in advance and store in the fridge until your friends arrive.
Then pour into a punch bowl, or something similar over a large block of ice (I recommend filling an ice cream container with water and placing it in the freezer the day before).
Add chopped citrus fruit as a garnish, use a ladle to dispense it into small cups or glasses.
