So not everyone will partake in an alcoholic beverage at Christmas for a number of reasons, but I see no reason why they should miss out on the fun!  So here's a non alcoholic cocktail made by my daughter Amina, enjoy!

So what am I up to now I hear you ask?  Well once again I'm delighted to say I'm on my bike riding for a very worthy cause.  This time I've been invited by my friend Tony Abou-Ganim to join his team and ride 1000 miles in during Breast Cancer Awareness Month and raise money along the way for the Helen David Relief Fund.

Ever since the dawn of the silver screen its idols have been seen enjoying cocktails, both on and off the screen.  The glamour and glitz of these larger than life movie stars has always added to the allure and pure escapism of the cocktail bar.  This week I'm celebrating some of my favourite drinks ever to appear on the big screen!  When thinking up this cinematic tribute there seemed an obvious place to start...

The Aim: 1000km (625 miles) in 31 days across the great state of Texas, what could go wrong?  Well potentially the heat, my lack of ability on a bike, maybe a rattlesnake or two, so why have I volunteered for this?

So a few years back I was given the news from my Doctor that I am in fact gluten intolerant.  It came as a surprise to me, I thought he was just going to say I'm not very tolerant in general and should show more compassion, but apparently it's just gluten, so there you go.
