Cocktail created by Hugo Ensslin and featured in his imaginatively entitled 1916 book "Recipes for Mixed Drinks.
How to make a Aviation cocktail at home
Ingredients
- 30ml Gin
- 20ml Maraschino Liqueur
- 15ml Fresh Lemon Juice
- 5ml Creme de Violette (Violet Liqueur)
- Garnish - A zest of lemon
Instructions
- Pour all ingredients into a shaker
- Fill with ice and shake
- Fine strain into a chilled cocktail (martini) glass
- Add the garnish
