The best sparkling cocktail I've tried since the Russian Spring Punch

AKA The Champagne Daisy.  This drink dates back to the 1860's but thankfully it was brought to my attention by a first rate guy Mr Sean Ware.  Cheers buddy!

How to make a Champagne Marguerite cocktail at home

Ingredients

  • 35ml Gin
  • 10ml Maraschino Liqueur
  • 5ml Orgeat (Almond Syrup)
  • 20ml Fresh Lemon Juice
  • 50ml Laurent-Perrier Demi-Sec Champagne
  • Garnish - A raspberry, a blackberry and a lemon wedge (or peel) & add edible flowers too should they be available.

Instructions

  • Pour all the ingredients except the Champagne into a cocktail shaker
  • Fill a large wine glass with ice,  also fill the shaker with ice and shake
  • Strain into the ice-filled wine glass
  • Add the garnishes
  • Enjoy!

Andy's Top Tip - Pour a splash of Champagne into the bottom of the glass before pouring in the shaken cocktail, it will help it marry together.
