A cheeky little pick-me-up if ever there was one

Andrew Pengelly and I used to treat ourselves to this drink as a shot just to give us that extra gear on a Friday night.  Just a word of warning, don't operate heavy machinery after drinking this one.

How to make a Green Fairy cocktail at home

Ingredients

  • 25ml Absinthe
  • 25ml Cointreau
  • 25ml Fresh Lime Juice
  • 15ml Sugar Syrup
  • 15ml Egg White
  • Garnish - Orange zest (Don't squeeze it over the drink just pop it on the top)

Instructions

  • Pour all ingredients into a cocktail shaker
  • Dry shake without ice
  • Add ice and shake again
  • Double strain into a chilled cocktail (martini) glass
  • Place the garnish on top
