Cowboyed Martini

Andy says...

We made this up on the fly, but it's a winner!

Andrew Pengelly and I worked together for 6 or 7 years in London in the late nineties and early noughties, an exciting time to be in that city and be behind the bar for sure.  During that time we specialised in looking after people, and creating an atmosphere, but we also created a number of cracking drinks; a number of which are on this site (Eau-de-23, Apple & Blackcurrant Martini, Green Fairy, Espresso Martini or at least it's twin brother!).  The Cowboyed Martini came about because one night one of our regulars asked for a Cowboy Martini (Created by the legendary Dick Bradsell), I hadn't tried it, but Andy seemed to have a vague idea of what was in it; so we threw a few ingredients together and this was the result.  It turns out it wasn't a Cowboy Martini at all, but given that it was damn good, and that we'd basically made it up on the spot, we decided to call it after the 'Cowboy Bartenders' that created it that night.
