Classic Champagne Cocktail

A popular combination since the late 1800's
This cocktail has been around forever, since at least 1862, and it shows no signs of going away. A very sociable cocktail, best drank in groups.
How to make a Classic Champagne Cocktail cocktail at home
Ingredients
- 1 White Sugar Cube
- 3 Dashes Angostura Bitters
- 20ml Cognac (Chilled)
- 125ml Champagne
- No garnish needed
Instructions
- Dash the bitters onto the sugar cube whilst holding it on a spoon
- Drop the bitters soaked cube into a chilled flute
- Pour the Cognac over the top
- Fill the remainder of the glass with Champagne
Andy's Top Tip - Chill the Cognac and the glass so that it doesn't raise the overall temperature of the drink.
