Created by Ada Coleman for actor Charles Hawtry at the Savoy Hotel, London.
Hawtry tried it and exclaimed "By jove that's the real hanky panky" and the name stuck.
How to make a Hanky Panky cocktail at home
Ingredients
- 30ml Gin
- 30ml Martini Rosso
- 2 Dashes Fernet Branca
- Garnish - Orange Zest
Instructions
- Fill a mixing glass with ice and pour in the ingredients
- Stir for 30 seconds
- Strain into a chilled cocktail glass (martini) or coupe
- Squeeze an orange zest over the top and either discard (as I usually do) or drop it in the glass because it looks nice!
