Created at the Waldorf-Astoria to celebrate the first ever 'Broadway Musical'.
That musical was "Adonis" launching in 1884, but this drink is anything but old hat, it has a modern taste well worth trying.
How to make a Adonis cocktail at home
Ingredients
- 2 Dashes Orange Bitters
- 60ml Sweet Vermouth
- 60ml Fino Sherry
- Garnish - Orange Zest
Instructions
- Fill a mixing glass with ice
- First add the bitters so they will be washed into the drink by the other ingredients
- Pour in the sweet vermouth and the sherry
- Stir for 30 seconds
- Strain into a chilled coupe glass
- Add the garnish
- Feel like bronzed god!
