This cocktail was created at the Raffles Hotel, Singapore.
Invented by cocktail bartender Ngiam Tong Boon at the Long Bar in 1915
How to make a Singapore Sling cocktail at home
Ingredients
- 25ml Gin
- 15ml Cherry Liqueur (Cherry Heering preferably)
- 7.5ml Benedictine Liqueur
- 7.5ml Cointreau
- 15ml Fresh Lime Juice
- 10ml Grenadine (or pomegranate syrup)
- 1 Dash Angostura Bitters
- 120ml Pineapple Juice
- Garnish - A pineapple and maraschino cherry flag (For how to make this garnish see my "How To" video section)
Instructions
- Pour all of the ingredients into a cocktail shaker
- Fill with ice and shake
- Strain into an ice-filled sling or highball glass
- Add the garnish
