Created at the world famous cocktail bar Harry's New York Bar, Paris
Made it is said in honour of a First World War army captain who used to be driven to the bar in a motorcycle sidecar.
How to make a Sidecar cocktail at home
Ingredients
- 30ml VSOP Cognac
- 20ml Cointreau
- 20ml Fresh Lemon Juice
- Garnish - Optional half sugar rim
Instructions
- Shake all of the ingredients over ice in a shaker
- Fine strain into a chilled cocktail (martini) glass
- Some people add a sugar rim to this drink, personally I'm not in favour, but if you do choose to go that way only do half the rim, at least then you leave your options open
