A cocktail only to be drank by the pool or in the presence of Del Boy

This cocktail was created in Puerto Rico in the 1950's and has sold like hot cakes wherever hot weather can be found ever since.

How to make a Pina Colada cocktail at home


  • 50ml Gold Rum
  • 50ml Coco Real
  • 75ml Premium Pineapple Juice (I recommend Eager Juices - Awesome!)
  • 3-4 Optional chunks of fresh pineapple
  • Garnish - Pineapple and stemmed cherry flag


  • Add the rum, coconut cream, pineapple juice [and an option few chunks of fresh pineapple] into a blender, add ice and blend to a smooth consistency.
  • Pour into an exotic glass, tiki mug, empty coconut or hollowed out pineapple - Do not our it straight down your neck as its a frozen drink and will give you instant brain freeze!
  • Garnish with fresh pineapple and a stemmed cherry - Add an umbrella and a lit sparkler if presenting to someone you wish to embarrass for ordering this in the first place!
