The cocktail made famous at the Savoy Hotel's American Bar
Whilst there had previously been a White Lady Cocktail, it attained nowhere near the popularity as this version created at the Savoy, and now adopted the world over as the White Lady.
How to make a White Lady cocktail at home
Ingredients
- 50ml Gin
- 25ml Cointreau
- 25ml Fresh Lemon Juice
- 15ml Egg White
- Garnish not required.
Instructions
- Dry shake all of the ingredients (i.e. without ice) to emulsify the egg white
- Then add ice and shake a second time (wet shake)
- Fine strain into a chilled cocktail (martini) glass
- No need to garnish this one
