Try a couple of these strong rum cocktails and you'll know how it got its name

Created by Donn Beach aka 'Don the Beachcomber' (formerly known as Ernest Raymond Beaumont Gantt) and one of the finest tiki cocktails ever created!

How to make a Zombie cocktail at home

Ingredients

  • 30ml Bacardi
  • 30ml Gold Rum
  • 30ml Pineapple Juice (Eager Pineapple if possible)
  • 30ml Fresh Lime Juice
  • 30ml Passion Fruit Syrup
  • 5ml Demerara Sugar Syrup (Alternatively dissolve a teaspoon of brown sugar in with the lime juice before you begin)
  • 2 Dashes Angostura Bitters
  • Float 30ml Dark Rum 
  • Garnish - A large sprig of mint, and half a passion fruit (which you can set light to by adding a splash of the high strength rum and igniting, I mean what could go wrong?)

Instructions

  • Shake all of the ingredients except the dark rum
  • Strain into an ice-filled highball or tiki glass
  • Layer on the dark rum
  • Add the garnish (flames optional)!
  • Throw a straw in and sip away
