Surprisingly easy drinking, a stunning twist on a Vodka Martini.

How to make a Red Star cocktail at home

Ingredients

  • 15ml Anise infused dry vermouth
  • 50ml Vodka
  • Garnish - A whole anise pod

Instructions

  • Fill a mixing glass with ice
  • Pour in the ingredients listed
  • Stir for 30 seconds
  • Fine strain into a chilled cocktail (martini) glass
  • Add the anise pod into the glass

Andy's Top Tip - How to make anise infused dry vermouth...

  • Place 4 whole anise pods in a Kilner jar or some other air-tight container
  • Pour in the vermouth
  • Seal the jar and leave for 48 hours in a warm (not hot) place
  • Strain the liquid back into a clean bottle through a sieve or cheese cloth to remove the pods 
  • Feel free to label the bottle so you don't confuse it with something else
