I created this when I opened Rick's Bar at the Taj in Delhi in 2000
This is still one of the best drinks I've ever created, and it still sells in Delhi so if you get to Rick's at the Taj Mahal Hotel on Mansingh Road feel free to order one and tell them I sent you.
How to make a Guav-Berry Martini cocktail at home
Ingredients
- 35ml Vodka
- 35ml Guava Juice
- 15ml Creme de Mure (or Chambord or Creme de Cassis)
- 15ml Fresh Lime Juice
- Garnish - Lime Zest
Instructions
- Pour all the ingredients into a cocktail shaker
- Fill with ice and shake
- Fine strain into a chilled martini or coupe glass
- Squeeze the lime over the surface of the drink and then drop it in
Andy's Top Tip - Drink it in India, the guava juice there is out of this world! It's also worth noting the standard measure there is larger, so we made the vodka 45ml, you might like to try it that way too?
