How to make a Pegu Club cocktail at home

Ingredients

  • 4 Lime Wedges
  • 40ml Gin
  • 20ml Orange Curacao (Cointreau will do if necessary)
  • 2 Dashes Angostura Bitters
  • Garnish - A twist of lime peel

Instructions

  • Crush the lime wedges in the base of a cocktail shaker with a muddler
  • Pour in the other ingredients
  • Fill with ice and shake
  • Fine strain into a chilled cocktail (martini) glass
  • Squeeze the lime zest over the surface of the drink and then drop into the glass

Andy't Top Tip - If you're in a rush substitute the lime wedge for 20ml of freshly squeezed lime juice, this removes the need to muddle the lime wedges
