Another incredible cocktail from the mind of the genius Dick Bradsell

This cocktail really is a good deal more delicious than it may appear based just by looking at the ingredients, but then that is the sign of a great cocktail.

How to make a Treacle cocktail at home

Ingredients

  • 7.5 Sugar Syrup
  • 2 Dashes Aromatic Bitters
  • 60ml Dark Rum
  • 15ml Regular Apple Juice (Not pressed cloudy apple juice in this case)
  • Garnish - Orange Zest

 

Instructions

  • Pour sugar syrup into a rocks glass
  • Add the bitters
  • Add 30ml of dark rum
  • Add 2-3 large ice cubes
  • Stir 30 times
  • Add 2-3 more large ice cubes and 30ml of dark rum
  • Stir 30 more times
  • Add 2-3 more large ice cubes
  • Finally stir 30 times more
  • Drizzle the apple juice over the top of the drink
  • Squeeze the orange zest over the top and place it in the glass
  • Enjoy!

Andy's Top Tip - A cracking variation on this is to use Kraken Spiced Dark Rum!
