Ramos Gin Fizz

Molecular mixology in its infancy!
The texture of this drink changes dramatically as it is shaken, and again when it reacts with the soda, demonstrating how ingredients react with one another.
How to make a Ramos Gin Fizz cocktail at home
Ingredients
- 45ml Gin
- 15ml Fresh lemon Juice
- 15ml Fresh Lime Juice
- 30ml Sugar Syrup
- 45ml Cream (Single or Heavy)
- 2 Drops Orange Flower Water
- 1/2 A Large Egg White
- 60ml Soda Water (From a syphon if you're flash!)
- Garnish - The souffle-like top on this look fabulous without needing to add anything else really
Instructions
- Pour all the ingredients into a cocktail shaker except the soda water
- Shake without ice (The Dry Shake)
- Fill with ice and shake a second time (The Wet Shake)
- Grab an empty chilled highball glass from the fridge (no ice)
- Pour half the soda into the glass
- Strain the mixture from the shaker into the glass
- Carefully add the remaining soda
Andy's Top Tip - A nice variation is to add 3-4 drops of vanilla essence into the recipe, same same but different!
