The Scotch Whisky equivalent of the Manhattan
I like this drink a lot, its a really interesting combination of flavours, and I've always felt that there are better Bourbon cocktails than the Manhattan anyway.
How to make a Rob Roy cocktail at home
Ingredients
- 1 Dash of Angostura Bitters
- 30ml Blended Scotch Whisky
- 30ml Sweet Vermouth
- Garnish - A stemmed cherry
Instructions
- Fill a mixing glass with ice
- Pour in the ingredients in the order listed
- Stir for 30 seconds
- Fine strain into a chilled cocktail (martini) glass
- Add the garnish
Andy's Top Tip - Make sure you put the bitters in first as the other ingredients will wash them into the cocktail
