Fifth Drink of Christmas - Clear Conscience Mocktail
So not everyone will partake in an alcoholic beverage at Christmas for a number of reasons, but I see no reason why they should miss out on the fun! So here's a non alcoholic cocktail made by my daughter Amina, enjoy!
I love making Mimosas first thing on Christmas morning, just a little something to sip while everyone is passing out gifts. Obviously orange juice would be the regular call for a Mimosa, but I like to throw other flavours in the mix from time to time and I really like mango!
I could never quite get Egg Nog to taste the way I expected it to, for years I followed all the recipes, but was always disappointed. Then one foggy Christmas Eve I decided to throw the rule book out of the window and build a set of flavours I love at this time of year, and this is the result! Give it a try, it may well become a new favourite.
Without bragging too much my recipe for homemade mulled wine is awesome!!! It took a lot of trial and a decent amount of error to get it right, the recipe is on here and on my YouTube channel Andy Pearson Drinks. The mulled wine is terrific, serve it hot or cold, but be sure to make extra so you can use it later to make this little beauty!
Although this is a classic after dinner cocktail that can be enjoyed throughout the year, I have selected it for my 12 Drinks of Christmas list because of its versatility. I know may people who might only have an alcoholic beverage around Christmas time, and others who like rich, sweet, creamy cocktails, so this covers all the bases! Oh and its really tasty which also helps.
